PRIVACY POLICY

Visiting HealthyAppliance.com doesn’t require you to hand over much. What we do collect, mostly basic technical data plus anything you choose to send us directly, is covered on this page: what it is, why we collect it, and what say you have over it.

Use of Cookies

Like most websites, we use cookies, small text files your browser stores when you visit, to understand how the site gets used. A cookie usually holds a unique, anonymous identifier rather than anything personal. Your browser controls how these work: it decides whether to accept a cookie, and it keeps our cookies separate from any other site’s, so we only ever see what we’ve set ourselves.

IP Addresses

Your device sends an IP address every time it connects to the internet, and our server logs it automatically as part of standard traffic data, the same way any website’s server does. This is how a page actually gets delivered to you, and it also gives us a rough picture of things like which pages get the most visits and where readers are coming from.

Email Information

If you email us directly, through the contact page or otherwise, we keep a record of that message, your address, and our reply, the same way we’d retain any other correspondence. We handle it with the same care as anything else you send us, and we don’t use it for anything beyond responding to you and keeping our own records.

How We Use the Information You Provide

We use the information you give us to run the site, answer your questions, and keep things working the way they should. We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t hand it to unaffiliated third parties without your say-so, except where the law actually requires it or where it’s needed to protect our own legal rights.

Email Policies

We don’t sell, rent, or share our contact list, and we won’t hand your email address to a third party, a company, or a government agency unless the law leaves us no choice. If we ever send you updates or a newsletter, every message will follow the CAN-SPAM Act: you’ll always know who it’s from, and you’ll always have a clear way to opt out at the bottom of the email.

Use of External Links

You’ll find links to other sites throughout HealthyAppliance.com, most often to Amazon, sometimes to a manufacturer’s page or another source we’ve cited. We can’t vouch for what’s on those sites once you leave ours, and a link out doesn’t mean we endorse everything the destination says or sells. By using this site, you’re agreeing to these terms along with whatever laws actually apply to you.

Intellectual Property Rights

Everything on this site, the writing, the comparisons, the photos we’ve taken ourselves, and the site’s design, belongs to HealthyAppliance.com unless we’ve said otherwise. You’re welcome to link to us. What we ask you not to do:

  • Republish our content elsewhere without asking first
  • Sell or rent anything from this site
  • Copy, duplicate, or build a derivative version of what we’ve published
  • Redistribute our content on another website

If you’d like to use something beyond normal reading and sharing, reach out through our contact page and ask.

Acceptable Use

Use this site the way it’s meant to be used: to read, compare, and decide. That means no harassment, no obscene or disruptive content, and no using Healthy Appliance to send unsolicited commercial messages or run your own marketing without our written go-ahead.

Restricted Access

Right now, nothing on this site sits behind a login. If that changes down the line and we do issue you a username and password for some part of the site, keeping both confidential is on you.

Use of Testimonials

If we ever publish a reader testimonial about a guide, a recommendation, or the site itself, here’s how we handle it, in line with FTC guidelines on endorsements:

Testimonials reflect one person’s real experience, not a guarantee that you’ll get the same result. We publish them close to verbatim, correcting typos or trimming length where a message runs long or wanders off-topic, but we don’t rewrite someone’s opinion to say something they didn’t mean. Every testimonial gets a look from us before it goes up, and posting one doesn’t mean we share every view in it, the opinions belong to the person who wrote them.

How We Protect Your Information

Email was never built to be fully secure, so we’d rather you not send us sensitive information that way. If you do, that’s your call to make, but we can’t guarantee an unencrypted email stays private in transit. Where the site collects anything through a form, we use SSL to keep that connection encrypted, and we never handle payment or card details directly, since all purchases happen on Amazon, not here.

We also keep an eye on traffic patterns, partly to understand which guides and reviews get read the most, and partly to catch anything that looks like an attempt to tamper with the site.

Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

We work to keep this site accurate and current, but we can’t promise that everything here, or on any site we link to, is complete or error-free at every moment. Content is provided as is, with no warranty of any kind, and to the extent the law allows it, Healthy Appliance and anyone who writes or maintains this site won’t be liable for damages arising from your use of it, including lost profits, lost data, or any other indirect harm.

Policy Changes

We may update this policy at any point, with or without advance notice. If a future change would use your previously submitted information in a way that’s materially different from what this policy describes, we won’t apply that change retroactively without asking you first.
